Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bass Caddy mobile apps (iOS and Android), the web app and website at basscaddy.com, and related services (the "Service"), provided by Bass Caddy LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse engineer, scrape, or build a competing service from the app or our APIs.

3. Subscriptions

Bass Caddy offers an auto-renewable subscription ("Bass Caddy Pro").

• On iOS, payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews monthly unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price shown at signup.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Refunds, if any, are handled by Apple per the App Store's terms.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the catches, photos, and messages you create. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you (and to anyone you choose to share it with).

5. Assistant-generated content

Chat responses are produced with the help of a third-party model and may be inaccurate or incomplete. The Service is not a substitute for professional advice. Always verify fishing regulations, weather, and safety information with authoritative sources before acting on any suggestion.

6. Prohibited use

• Do not upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
• Do not attempt to disrupt the Service, evade rate limits, or access other users' data.
• Do not use the Service to violate fish and wildlife laws.

7. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BASS CADDY LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from the app's Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes take effect after we post them with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in-app.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Bass Caddy LLC is established, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules.
